What does my purchase support?

Every purchase supports organizations fostering mutual understanding and mutual aid through community education, outreach and service.

How much of my purchase is donated?

We use a two-tier model to balance immediate impact with the sustainability of our lab:

• Default Donation: We donate at least 50% of the net proceeds from every sale in our spirit shop. The remaining portion is reinvested to cover the resources needed to sustain our open-source work.
• Key Impact Projects: We donate 100% of the net proceeds from every sale in our Key Impact collections. These are collections linked to basic human needs.

What are "Net Proceeds"?

"Net proceeds" is the amount remaining after the direct costs of creating your item are covered. These costs include:

• Manufacturing: The base price of the item and the cost of printing or embroidery.
• Processing: Transaction fees from the payment processor and the shop platform.

When are proceeds donated?

We use an educated estimate to determine our donation at the time of sale, based on current supply costs and platform fees.

We periodically reconcile our books to ensure our final contributions accurately reflect our promise to the community.
